Vintage Platinum 18K Yellow Gold Filigree GIA Certified Sri Lanka Ceylon Blue Sapphire Old European Cut Diamond Pendant

This magnificent vintage platinum 18K yellow gold blue sapphire and old European cut diamond circular pendant is a striking conversational piece. Crafted in Edwardian Belle Époque jewelry style, the pendant features a platinum openwork filigree wreath decor with an impressive large-sized rectangular cushion cut blue sapphire on the center, surrounded by 28 glittering old European cut diamonds (approx. 2 ctw, H-I color, VS clarity). Milgrain details are found on the edge. The decor is mounted a 18K yellow gold open work gallery.
Most importantly, the center blue sapphire is certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) with the report No.5212013968. The sapphire is Sri Lanka origin with standard heat treatment. As many of you know, Sri Lanka is one of the few geographic locations that produces the finest quality blue sapphire. Sapphires of this origin usually carry a premium. The dimension of this sapphire is 13.94mm x 12.08mm x 9.40mm. Because of the extra bulging pavilion of the stone, the estimated carat weight by formula is 17.25 ct. The sapphire has natural inclusions and has the most desirable vivid medium blue hue with deep saturation.
