Large Antique Victorian English 15K 15CT Solid Gold Sapphire Seed Pearl Starburst Locket, Circa 1880s

Sourced straight from England, this gorgeous, rare, and large-sized Victorian English 15CT solid gold oval locket is one of our recent unusual finds.

The front of the locket features a Gothic starburst decor set with seed pearls and a genuine antique cushion cut sapphire (approx. 3.5 mm x 2.8 mm). The back is clean with no monograms, so it is perfect to add your own engravings if desired. The locket is hung on its original bale. The surface has a smooth and rich gold finish.

Opening from the side, it reveals two compartments perfect for photos, a lock of hair, or a secret love note. The locket remains in an amazing condition and it retains all its original components, including two bezels, two glass covers, and two fabric liners.

Metal: 15K solid gold. Unmarked but professionally tested. Prior to 1930s, English gold jewelry were made in 9, 15, 18 or 22KT gold.

Condition: very fine antique condition with age appropriate scratches and wear. The sapphire has a medium blue hue with good saturation. The pearls are all original with no damage.
