Large Antique Victorian English 15K 15CT Solid Gold Blue Enamel Starburst Seed Pearl Locket, Circa 1880s

This gorgeous and large-sized genuine Victorian English origin 15K solid gold oval locket is one of my recent unusual finds from the UK.

The front of the locket features an iconic Victorian starburst decor set with seed pearls and highlighted with blue enamel. The back is clean with no monograms, so it is perfect to add your own engravings if desired. The locket is hung on its original bale. The surface has a rich and smooth gold finish.

Opening from the side, it reveals two compartments perfect for photos, a lock of hair, or a secret love note. The locket remains in pristine condition with all its original components: two bezels, two glass covers, and two old photos of a man and woman from that era.

Size: It measures about 2" (from top to bottom), 1.5" (if just counting the oval shape) in length and 1 & 9/16" in width.

Gross Weight: approx. 17.3 grams Metal: 15K solid gold. Unmarked but professionally tested. Prior to 1930s, English gold jewelry were made in 9, 15, 18 or 22KT gold.

Condition: very fine antique condition with minor age wear. All seed pearls are in their original condition with no damage. It opens well and closes securely. Overall, an extremely charming piece! Please refer to all the listing pictures for the general condition.
