Antique Victorian 14K gold Robin's Egg Blue Turquoise Enamel Oval Keepsake Photo Locket Necklace, Something Old Something Blue

This is an exquisite antique robin's egg turquoise blue enamel 14K gold oval-shaped locket from the Victorian era. The front of the locket is highlighted with gold accented flower bouquet details set with three small seed pearls. Opening it from the side reveals two compartments for photos.

If you are looking for something old and something blue, this locket will be a perfect sentimental piece to cherish. What makes this piece unusual is its fabulous condition. Most antique robin's egg blue enamel lockets of this kind don't survive well with age. A majority on the market have visible damages/chips/loss on the surface enameling; but certainly not this locket.

What's more amazing is that the locket still retains all the original components: two bezel rings and two glass covers, which truly indicates its age is at or before the turn of century.

Measurements: 1 & 1/4" in height (excluding the bale and jump ring) and a hair shy of 1" in width.

Metal: unmarked but tested as 14K.

Weight: approx. 10.8 grams

Circa 1860s-1880s.

Condition: very fine antique condition with age appropriate wear. As stated before, the blue enameling is in an amazing shape with no obvious enameling damage, loss or chip. Only a couple of surface scratches. Two photo inserts/bezels and two glass covers inside. It opens well and closes securely with the side latches.
