This antique Art Nouveau 900 silver repousse lady image slide locket is a museum worthy piece for avid Art Nouveau jewelry lovers! Made at the turn of the 20th century in France, this gorgeous locket features a beautiful and vivid Mucha-esque maiden profile image on the front. The back has engravings that read "February 1903 Leo" and it also bears a "900" silver hallmark.

The locket is hung on a 17" double length (or 34" single length) antique sterling silver long chain. The chain is made with cable links and stationed with 6 turquoise color blue stone (I believe the blue stone are turquoise imitation stones).

So you purchase two pieces of antique jewelry in this listing.

Measurement of the locket: 1&1/8” x 1&5/8” total length including soldered bail.

Weight: approx. 14.8 grams for the locket and 24.3 grams combined with the chain.

Metal: the locket is made of 900 silver, which is the typical silver standard for European, esp. French, jewelry. The long chain is made of sterling silver and it is marked "STERLING" on the top bale of the clasp.

Condition: very fine antique condition with age appropriate tarnish and wear. The repousse details are clear with good contrast. Extremely shallow dent on the back of the locket ( it is not noticeable at all but we mention to be accurate).  One of the blue stones has a shallow but smooth chip that is largely unnoticeable.  The locket will slide open counter-clockwise and lock closed in clock-wise direction by manufacture design. Please refer to all the listing pictures for general condition.
