This charming antique sterling silver Albert watch chain is a fabulous piece of history.  Made in 1919, in Birmingham UK, the chain is built with solid and durable curvy curb links. This handmade chain used to be a gentleman's pocket-watch chain and is smooth and flexible in texture. It has a classic design that withstands the test of time. It is noteworthy that the chain remains in a beautiful condition with the original dog clip and "T" bar.

More importantly, it has a lovely wearable length of 15.25" (end to end), with substantial weight and beautiful workmanship. It can be worn by itself as a beautiful and unique choker or it can go perfectly with your favorite locket or charm/pendant. (*I added an unique silver clasp in the modeling image, which is not part of the sale but a styling idea).

Metal and Hallmarks: Each link, including the dog clip and T-bar (except the one that connects the dog clip) is stamped with lion passant, which is the English hallmark for sterling silver. A couple of links even have the city mark of Birmingham and date mark "U", indicating the year of 1919. The whole piece was also tested as sterling silver.

Measurement: 15.25" long. Link width approx. 7.7mm.

Weight: approx. 40.4 grams.

Condition: very good antique condition with normal age wear, including light tool marks on the top loop of the dog clip and rubbed wear on hallmarks and links. Please refer to all the listing pictures for general condition.

-The listing price includes a domestic shipping cost of $14, which includes tracking and insurance
