This exquisite solid platinum pave-set diamond heart charm pendant is a seamless conversion from an early 1900s Edwardian heart shape diamond ring.

The piece fully exemplifies the peak of fine jewelry craftsmanship during the Edwardian Era for two reasons. First, is the elegant, smooth, and mature application of platinum. Second is the total of 48 pave-set white, clean and sparkly old cut diamonds (44 old mine cut and 4 tiny rose cut, approx. 2.00-2.30 ctw. G/H color, and VS clarity) on the front demonstrating the extraordinary skill of jewelry making. The center is highlighted with a fiery old mine Cut diamond (approx. 13-15 points) surrounded by well matched old cut diamonds that are graduated in size. Finished with a delicate crimped collet edge and graduated curved back, which truly indicates its remarkable and age appropriate workmanship.

The listing is for the locket only. The antique platinum diamond pearl chain shown in the model picture is only for the purpose of demonstration.

Measurement: approx. 7/8" (from top to bottom) in length and 11/16" in width.

Diamond specifics: there are 48 pave set old cut diamonds in total, approx. 2-2.30 ctw. The diamonds are a mix of old mine cut and rose cut (44 old mine cut and 4 tiny rose cut). Center diamond: approx. 0.13-.15 ct. All diamonds are G-H in color (colorless) and VS clarity. Please keep in mind these antique diamonds are not measured, cut, or graded by today’s modern standards, but they have tons of antique charm that modern diamonds cannot replicate. As they were mostly cut by hand, it is normal to see tiny chips & rough unpolished sides / edges for diamonds cut in that period.

Metal: solid platinum and tested.

Circa: 1900s-1910s.

Weight: approx. 5 grams.

Condition: Excellent antique condition. The bale section is a new build. Please refer to the listing pictures for the general condition.

This is a precious heirloom piece for yourself or your special someone.
