This gorgeous antique Edwardian platinum 14K filigree old European cut diamond necklace is a dream piece for any antique jewelry collector. The entire necklace is set with old European cut and rose cut diamonds. The main diamond is even certified by GIA (see below for details), which is rarely seen in the current market. All diamonds are set in mil-grained platinum bezel and open back (no worry if it gets wet and easy to maintain and wear). It is a perfect piece for a wedding, an anniversary, or an important celebration!

Here are the specifics:

Main diamond:
1.04 ct, GIA( I, SI1), 100% eye clean. GIA Report No. 1226262983. GIA calls it a round brilliant but it's an old cut (or transitional cut to be accurate) because of the facet pattern, slightly large culet and unpolished girdle. The strong blue fluorescence has zero impact on the stone but makes the stone look whiter and more lively in person.

It took me years to find an Edwardian platinum necklace that has a large center old cut diamond (one carat plus). It's a nice treat when you found one😍.

Total diamonds: 3.14 ctw
Length: approx. 16.25"
Weight: approx. 10.6 grams

Also, different from many old cut diamonds from the same period, the main diamond of this piece is extremely well cut with great proportions. It has beautiful facets and picks up different colors from the environment, forming tons of fire, just like... a fireball :) More importantly, if you wanted, the main diamond could be easily removed and easily turned into a wonderful engagement ring! Condition: very fine condition with no obvious damage or defect. The whole piece is made of platinum except the 14K white gold cable link section, which appears to be a replacement in the 1950s-1960s. The end tag is marked 14KT. The spring clasp appears to be original and it is platinum.
