Antique Chinese Export Solid Platinum Ornate Link Chain, 15" Plus 1 & 7/8" Extension, Choker Necklace, Gift for Her

This precious antique platinum chain is from my personal collection. Made in the early 1900s in China for export purposes, the chain is constructed with handmade ornate alternate long-grain and round shaped disc links. It remains in a beautiful condition and connects with its original old style thumb clasp. Beautifully crafted, it still has a dense weight. It can be worn by itself or perfectly accompany your favorite locket or pendant!

More importantly, the chain has a lovely wearable length of 15". To give a fine feminine touch, I added a short extension which is made of two sterling silver wire wrapped silver grey freshwater pearls (approx. 1 & 7/8"). The extension can be easily added on or taken off the chain. Total length now is 16 & 7/8".

Metal and Hallmark: The chain is made of solid platinum. The last long link has some Chinese hallmarks. One side is marked "正白金“ meaning pure platinum in Chinese. The other side has the maker's mark. Tested as platinum.

Total Weight (with extension): approx. 11.6 grams.

Solid platinum chain: approx. 9.9 grams.

Link width: approx. 2.2 mm.

Condition: very fine antique condition with age appropriate patina, scratches, and wear. Please refer to all the listing pictures for general condition.
