Antique Art Nouveau Repousse Mermaid Woman Gold Filled Locket, Flowing Hair Lady, Gibson Girl Maiden Wedding Locket, Monogram FS

This scallop-shaped mermaid repousse gold filled locket from the Art Nouveau period is simply breath-taking. Amazingly, it remains in a very fine antique condition with two artistic monograms "FS" on the back. I could go on, but, I will let the pictures speak for the piece itself!

Over the years, I have tried very hard to collect genuine and unusual shaped Art Nouveau lockets as the carving and presentation truly evokes sentimental and romantic feelings. So, I have been quite fortunate to find this one, and now offer it in my shop.

The listing is for the locket only as it doesn't come with a chain. If you prefer having a new simple gold filled chain to go with it (like the one shown in the model picture), I can provide one at its cost, ranging from $15-$25 depending on the length. So message me prior to your purchase.

Measurement: it measures approx. 1 & 3/8" across.

Metal: unmarked gold filled.

Maker: W&S.B. with a star (W & S Blackinton & Company). According to my research, W.& S. Blackinton Co. is originally from Meriden, Connecticut and was founded in 1865. They specialized in gold jewelry. The firm was sold to the Elmore Silver Co. in 1938.

Circa 1900s-1910s. Very fine antique condition with age appropriate tarnish and wear. It retains two bezels/photos inserts, one is slightly bent but fully functional. It opens well and closes firmly with a "click". Please look through all pictures.
