Antique 10K Solid Gold Rose Cut Diamond Starburst Round Shape Photo Locket, Monogram BGA, Gift for Her

This classic late-Victorian/Edwardian 10K solid gold rose cut diamond locket is a must-have piece for any vintage jewelry lover and my all-time favorite. This round-shaped locket features a small but sparkly antique rose cut diamond  set with a starburst pattern in the center.  

The surface has a rich yellow bloom finish. The back has three artistic monograms that appear to be "BGA". Opening from the side, it has two compartments for photos. It currently has a black-and-white photo of a Victorian woman inside — a charming piece of its history!

The starburst diamond locket is one of the most popular items in our shop—we’ve sold many over the years. This type of locket appears in the E.V. Roddin & Company 1917 Catalog, CBN Jewelry Catalogue 1910, and Illustrated Jewelry Catalogue 1892. These references serve as our dating evidence and indicate that this classic style was popular from the 1890s to the 1910s. Needless to say, it remains highly sought after by collectors today.

Size: 1&1/16" in round without counting the bale and jump ring. The jump ring is gold-filled replacement.

Metal: 10K. Unmarked, which is typical for jewelry made in that period but it was tested. The jump ring is gold-filled replacement.

Locket Weight: approx. 6.56 grams

Condition: excellent antique condition with minor age wear. No dents.  It has all the original components to store your precious memory, including two bezels and two film covers. Strong and firm snap closure. Please refer to all the listing pictures for the general condition.
