Diamond Specifics:

The stone originally came with International Gemological Institute (IGI) certificate, stating the stone is O color and VS2 clarity. We recently submitted the stone to Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and came with the same grading:

GIA Report No. 2225436469, dated May 5, 2022, stating Color: O/P, Clarity: VS2, Polish: Good, Symmetry: Good, Fluorescence: Faint. GIA calls it cushion modified brilliant, but it is in fact an old cut.

The stone was cut with a great proportion: 59% table and 65.3% depth.

It's one of the cleanest stones that I have handled with no inclusions under the table if you refer to the inclusion plot of the GIA certificate.

As you may know, a lot of old cut diamonds on the market have lower colors and contain visible inclusions. Sadly, this is due to the fact that over time many of the high quality old cut diamonds have been re-cut to make modern round brilliant diamonds. Based on my observation, lower color stones are increasingly popular among many old cut diamond lovers, as they are more charming yet affordable.
