Victorian 12K Gold Interlocking Link Long Guard Muff Chain Necklace,Taille D'Epargne Black Enamel Seed Pearl Slide, 32 Inches Double Length

This is a gorgeous and substantial antique mid to late Victorian solid gold long guard/muff chain. Based of the workmanship and style, it is American made and remains in a fabulous condition with its original ornate seed pearl slide and swivel clip. The slide has beautiful and intact black enameling details carved in the Taille D'Epargne technique. This long chain is structured with solid double interlocking links.

Chain length: approx.32-inches double length, which makes it versatile to be worn in various ways as demonstrated in the listing images. To make it convenient to wear, we include the gold filled big bolt clasp in the modeling images, which adds another inch of length.

The link width- 3.2mm. All measures are approximate.

Metal: unmarked. The gold content varies from 14K to 12K. I believe the piece was intended to be made in 14K. Because the gold alloy mix in the old time was manually control and not as standard as today, the variations in gold content happen to a lot of antique jewelry. We conservatively price it based on 12K.
