This gorgeous and substantial antique 18K gold and platinum two-tone ornate link watch chain was once connected to a gentleman's pocket watch. It has an intriguing yellow gold cable link inter-connected with a platinum belcher link design.
More importantly, this heavy and solid watch chain has a lovely wearable length of 16" plus a 1&7/8" extension section. The small chain extension has an old thumbless claps, swivel clip, and T-bar section. The clever design of this chain makes it so easy to add and remove the extension. Without the extension, it is a perfect choker to wear by itself or your favorite charm pendant/locket; with the extension, it is transformed into a unique and timeless piece of statement jewelry. The chain has been well preserved to keep its original integrity: all parts are original including both thumbless clasps, swivel clip, and T-bar extension. As many antique watch chain collectors know, most antique watch chains normally have a length varying from 9-14", depending on the height of the gentleman. The longer length of this one makes it quite unique. An antique watch chain with a wearable length is extremely hard to come by and an antique chain made of the solid gold and platinum is like a needle in a haystack!
