Victorian 14K Solid Yellow Gold Ornate Floral Interlocking Link Book Chain Necklace, Collar Locket Chain, Statement Necklace

This gorgeous antique Victorian 14K solid yellow gold collar locket chain has a unique double-row textured interlocking link structure. Each link is highlighted with an eight-pedal rose gold flower decor. This is a fine example of archaeological revival jewelry which thrived in the late 19th century.

The chain has a 2.5-inch extension and connects via two old style thumb clasps. Most Victorian book chains we now find in the market are missing the extension chain. But certainly not this piece!

What makes it timeless is that it can stand on its own, or play as the perfect accompaniment to your favorite locket or pendant.

Measurement: approx. 18.5" in length without the extension section and 21" with the extension section. Approx. 10 mm link width.

Metal: 14K unmarked but professionally tested. Weight: approx. 29.2 grams.

Circa 1880s.

Condition: very good antique condition with age appropriate wear and tarnish. The smaller thumb clasp is marked 10K and possibly a 1920s replacement. Please refer to the listing pictures for the general condition.
