This is a very substantial, unique, and gorgeous antique sterling silver long belcher link guard/muff chain necklace. Possibly European origin, made during the late-Victorian period, the chain has textured oval belcher link design. Even after 100+ years, this design still proves timeless and classic. The chain is connected via its original thumbless clasp, which reveals its age.

Measurement: approx. 36.5" length and 7mm link width. Weight: 87.2 grams (very substantial!).

Metal: there are a few European hallmarks on the last link of the chain which I am still researching. But it is tested as sterling silver.

Circa 1880s-1900s
