Antique Victorian Solid 10K Gold Collar Chain Necklace, Interlock Link Watch Chain, 18.5 Inches

This gorgeous and one of a kind 10K solid gold antique Victorian collar chain is built with ornate double interlocking links, and connected with its original old style thumb clasp. Like many other antique gold chains sold and presented in my store, this chain is unique and beautiful. It can be worn by itself or go perfectly with your favorite locket or pendant!

Measurement: 18.5 inches; 7 mm in link width (all measurements are approximate).

Metal: unmarked. There is a slight variation in gold purity: some parts are tested 12K and other parts are tested 10K gold. We tested with electronic tester and confirmed with acid. The slight inconsistency is not unusual for jewelry made in the old time as mixing alloy was manually done, so the proportions were not always quite as precise as they are today. To err on the conservative side, we listed it as 10K.

Weight: approx. 23.5 grams.

Circa: 1880s.

Condition: Very good antique condition. A couple of internal/smaller Milgrain links have minor metal loss and some small irregularities caused by its hand made nature and age related wear. Please look through all the listing pictures for the general condition.
