Antique Victorian Etruscan Revival 12K Solid Gold Seed Pearl Scallop Shield Shape Locket, Ornate Metal Work, Circa 1880s

This exquisite antique Victorian scallop shape locket was crafted from 12k gold. It has a classic Etruscan Revival design which strives to reclaim the glory of the ancient Italians. It is very old (over 100 years old) and very gorgeous.

The uniquely shaped construction exhibits intricate metal work and has a floral center decor highlighted with seven seed pearls on the front. Opening from the back, it reveals one compartment to store your photo, a lock of hair, or a love note! So precious! It still retains two original old photos, truly indicating the age and history this piece has gone through.

Condition: very good antique condition with age appropriate tarnish and wear. No bezel ring. Small crease on the back cover. The jump ring appears to be a replacement and is gold filled.
