This gorgeous pair of 18k old mine cut diamond earrings is redesigned and made from components of an antique 19th century 18K diamond brooch by my talented bench jeweler.

Each single earring features two prong-set fiery and chunky old mine cut diamonds on a butter-up mounting. All diamonds are open-back which is easy to wear and maintain without worrying about moisture or getting wet like those antique closed back earrings. They are finished with lever hooks. The condition is amazing.

Diamond specifics: 0.50-0.53 CTW (all measures are approximate and limited by the yellow gold mounting).

center diamonds approx. 0.20-0.23 ct each, 5 points diamond on top, J/K color , VS clarity

*Please keep in mind that the color assessment is strongly impacted by the yellow gold setting, actual color could be whiter. Also, old mine cut diamonds are one of the oldest forms of diamonds and they were cut by hand in the old time. Therefore they are seldom perfect in symmetry and often have chips and rough edges, so these diamonds should not be measured or graded by today’s modern standards; but they have tons of antique charm that modern diamonds cannot be compared with.

Size: 15/16" long (from the top to bottom) and 1/4"wide.

Weight: 1.61 grams,

Metal: unmarked because they are from a 19th century antique pieces and many of them are unmarked, but they are tested as 18K.

Manufacture method: hand set.

Condition: Very fine condition with minor wear. The stones are securely set and checked by my jeweler.
