1.62CT GIA Certified I VS1 Old Mine Cut Diamond, Antique Diamond

This gorgeous 1.62 ct old mine cut diamond has an extremely desirable pillowy/cushion shape that many old cut diamond lovers are looking for. It came from an antique Edwardian 14k platinum toi et moi ring (see one of the listing images). The semi-mount is now sold. The listing is for the loose stone only.

More importantly, the stone is recently certified by the most respected gem authority: Gemological Institute of America (GIA): Report Number 6224760652, dated December 20, 2022, stating Shape and Cutting Style: Old Mine Brilliant, Color: I, Clarity: VS1, Polish: Good, Symmetry: Good, Fluorescence: None.

It was cut in a perfect proportion (50% small table and 71.9% great depth). More importantly, it's an extremely clean stone being GIA VS1!

As you may know, a lot of old cut diamonds on the market have lower colors and contain visible inclusions. Sadly, this is due to the fact that over time many of the high quality old cut diamonds have been re-cut to make modern round brilliant diamonds. For this reason, high color, high clarity and well cut old mine diamonds are sought-after and thus, it reflects on its value.
