Antique Victorian Edwardian 10K Solid Gold Diamond Starburst Round Shape Photo Locket, Monogram AK, Personalized Pendant
This classic late-Victorian/Edwardian solid gold locket is a must-have piece for any vintage jewelry lover. This round-shaped locket features a sparkly old cut diamond (approx. 5 points) set in a starburst pattern in the center with a textured bead border. The back is engraved with monograms that appear to be AK.
As a personal preference, I love to collect solid gold lockets, if my budget allows. Also, I am particularly fond of Victorian starburst lockets and I have sold quite a few over the years in my store. The popularity of this kind of locket can be attributed to its chic design, which makes it perfect for every day wear or special occasions.
The locket is currently hung on a 18-inch gold filled chain, so it is ready to give or wear.
Size: it measures 7/8" in round (excluding the top bale and jump ring).
Metal: Unmarked but the gold content varies from 10K to 12K, tested with electronic tester and confirm with acid. Conservatively listed as 10K.
Locket Weight: approx. 5.3 grams. With chain, approx. 6.4 grams.
Circa 1890s-1910s.
