Antique Iberian Rose Cut Diamond 18K Gold Christian Cross Pendant, Crucifix Religious Charm Pendant

This antique 18K rose cut diamond cross pendant is one of the oldest yet most charming pieces that I have ever collected!! It is straight from my personal collection, and is meant for serious collectors or souls similar to myself who appreciate old historical jewelry. This rare antique cross pendant is full of mystery.
The materials, structure and design indicates it is Iberian origin and dates around the mid of 18th century (the Georgian Era). However, based on my research, certain Spanish provincial areas still continues this type of traditional workmanship till the 19th century. I broadly dates the piece between mid 18th century to mid 19 century to be conservative.
It is completely hand made with solid 18K gold. The front of the cross has a raised pointed motif that highlights 22 closed back rose cut diamonds and senailles in rubbed-over collet settings, which is typical for the Georgian and pre-Georgian era jewelry. Note: Senaille is small diamond chip with a flat base and cut in an irregular shape, usually somewhat in the form of a simplified circular rose cut diamond. Such chips were used in jewelry rather for their effect then for their intrinsic value. Source.

Probable Origin: Iberian area (Spain or Portugal).
Metal: 18K (unmarked but tested). Size: 2 & 7/16" long (including the top bale but without the jump ring) and 1 & 3/8" wide.
Weight: approx. 8.6 grams.
Diamond measurement: the 22 diamonds vary in size. The largest/center one: approx. 4.9mm x 3.7mm, the remaining diamonds vary from 3.2mm-1.3mm. I am not able to provide the weight of the diamonds as they are all closed-back (which makes it virtually impossible to precisely gauge the diamonds). Please keep in mind that these diamonds are not measured, cut, or graded by today’s modern standards, but they have tons of antique charm that modern diamonds cannot compare with.
Condition: very good antique condition with age appropriate wear, scratches, and patina. All parts appears to be in its original condition with no alteration and repair, which is quite unusual for a piece of this old. Seen with magnification-- all of the diamonds have either some inclusions, tiny chips & rough unpolished sides / edges (normal for the period). All diamonds are securely set.
