This marvelous pair of antique rose cut diamond dangle drop earrings is from the Georgian Era (over 200 years old!).

There are five glittering rose cut diamonds on each earring. The rose cut diamonds (esp. the two major stones on the dangle drop) generate tons of magical sparkles. The charming diamonds are collet set on silver and backed with 14K gold. The earrings are closed-back with lever hooks.

Circa 1800s.

Origin: European.

Metal: Silver on top and backed with 14K gold (unmarked but tested by jeweler), which is very typical for Georgian jewelry.

Size: 1&1/16" long (from top to bottom) and 3/8" wide (face-up dimension of the dangle drop) Weight: 4.7 grams.

Diamond measurement: the diamonds vary in size: the largest two center ones: approx. 6.1x4.4mm, 5.6x5.4mm the remaining diamonds are very small (approx. 1.5mm). I am not able to provide the weight of the diamonds as they are all closed-back, which makes it virtually impossible to precisely gauge the diamonds. Please keep in mind that these diamonds are not measured, cut, or graded by today’s modern standards, but they have tons of antique charm that modern diamonds cannot be compared with.

Condition: very fine vintage condition with age related wear, scratches, and patina. Seen with magnification-- all of the diamonds have either minor inclusions, tiny chips & rough unpolished sides / edges (normal for the period). All diamonds are securely set. The lever closure mechanism works properly. Please refer to all the listing pictures for the general condition.
