This exquisite 19th century 18k and silver rose cut diamond brooch pendant has the most amazing design that I have seen! It has a foldable bale on the top, the pin stem can be removed, and the pin catch can be folded down to be worn comfortably as a pendant!

Circa 1860s, possibly English origin, the front of the brooch pendant features a quatrefoil design centered around a large rose cut diamond that measures approx. 7.5mm x 6.7mm in spread (H color, SI in clarity). The remaining diamonds are approx. 3.5mm-3mm and a few smaller ones are a little under 2mm. Altogether, there are 62 rose cut diamonds. The diamonds have an estimated total carat weight of 6.60 ctw. All the diamonds are set with silver in closed foiled backs and are cut in a variety of antique shapes and faceting style consistent with the age. Rose cut is one of the primitive/oldest diamond cutting styles started in use from the 16th century. Seen with magnification-- all of the diamonds have either inclusions, tiny chips & rough unpolished sides / edges (very typical for old cut diamonds in that period as the African diamond mine hasn't been discovered till the late 19th century). Please keep in mind that these diamonds are not measured, cut, or graded by today’s modern standards, but they have tons of antique charm that modern diamonds cannot be compared with. All diamonds are securely set and original to the piece.

The silver-top setting are connected to one another by wire and rivet assembly above a scalloped pierced gallery that is mounted on a 18K yellow gold oval frame. The back of the piece has a removable folding brooch pin with a tube hinge and a foldable C-catch. In addition, there is a hidden bale at the top
