Here comes another gorgeous pair of late 19th century 18K gold and silver split pearl rose cut diamond cluster earrings!
Each single earring is structured with 8 small rose cut diamonds encircling a lustrous split pearl. A small rose cut diamond at the top. All diamonds are open-back, appropriate for the period, setting in silver on top of 18K basket mounting, forming a floral cluster or halo. They are finished with lever hooks.
The condition is amazing. I find it hard to describe the beauty, the sparkles, and charm of this pair of earrings. The best way is to see them in person! The diamonds are rough rose cut, so they really glow with tons of magic and charming sparkles when interacting with different lighting!

Approx. Measurement / Size of Gemstones: Split pearl: approx. 5.2mm-5.3mm in diameter. Rose cut diamonds: vary in sizes. They range from approx. 3 mm to 2.5 mm All are decent sized stones. Since all the diamonds are rose cut and set on the mounting, it's challenging to get a precise total carat weight. Please keep in mind that these diamonds are not measured, cut, or graded by today’s modern standards, but they have tons of antique charm that modern diamonds cannot be compared with.
The face dimension is approx. 10.5 mm in diameter, 15 mm in height (from top to bottom).
Metal: unmarked silver and 18K gold. Professionally tested.
Manufacture method: hand set.
Weight : approx. 3.6 grams.
Condition: very good antique condition. Seen with magnification-- all of the stones have either some surface imperfections, inclusions, tiny chips & rough unpolished sides / edges (normal for the period). But all these diamonds have tons of sparkles that can hardly be captured by camera or video. The nature of the split pearls is untested/unknown. The mounting and lever structure are in a very good working condition. All diamonds are secure in the setting. However, given the age and delicate design of the earrings, I recommend checking with your local qualified jeweler once a year to see if any service is needed.
