Antique Victorian Gold And Silver GIA Ceylon Sri Lanka Royal Blue Sapphire Old Cut Diamond Brooch Pendant
This 19th century Victorian silver and gold old mine diamond sapphire brooch pendant with removable brooch findings is another dream piece for many jewelry collectors.
Sapphire: estimated at 1.08 ct by formula, it is certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) with an origin of Ceylon/Sri Lanka with standard heat treatment. More importantly, GIA provides the sapphire with "royal blue" designation.
As many people in the gem trade know, GIA has an extremely stringent standard when it provides a trade name like "Royal Blue" or "Pigeon Blood".
Diamonds: about 4.56 ctw. They are chunky and fiery antique old mine cut diamonds with some tiny rose cut diamonds at the tips. The larger old mine diamonds are 0.35-0.4 ct each (×8). Stones are very white (a couple of small ones are slightly warmer but nothing stands out) and high clarity (a majority of VS with a few clean SI stones).
Metal: Gold (ranging from 9k to 12K) and silver. Unmarked but tested.
Size: ~1&1/4" by 1&3/16"
Weight: 11.30 grams per GIA.
Excellent antique condition. All parts are original and no signs of alterations. The removable brooch mechanism makes it super flexible and desirable. I added a small gold filled jump ring in the images/video to convenience wearing.
This is a precious heirloom piece, which you should not miss out on!
