Antique Victorian French 18K Gold Silver GIA Certified No Heat Sri Lanka Ceylon Sapphire Old Cut Diamond Pearl Pendant
This breath-taking (possibly French) 19th century silver gold Victorian sapphire diamond pearl pendant was just released from my personal collection for sale!
Sapphires: the two stones are extremely fine quality, especially the larger stone: it has the most mesmerizing saturated corn-flower vivid medium blue hue that I have seen and more importantly, the stone is close to loupe clean ( it's highly unusual for an untreated/unheated natural sapphire to have this high level of clarity).
The larger sapphire is approx. 3.29 ct and the smaller one is approx 1.43 ct. It came with two different certificates. One European lab certificate states Burmese no heat while the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) states ceylon no heat (on the larger stone). As many of you know, both Sri Lanka and Burma (Now Myanmar) are two of the best known geographic locations that produce the finest quality blue sapphire. Sapphires of these two origins usually carry a high premium.

Approx. 1.78ctw old cut diamonds (a mix of old mine and rose cut diamonds).
Pearls: the larger three pearls range from approx. 5.37 mm to 5.95 mm in diameter. Given its age, these pearls are most likely natural pearls (not cultured pearls).
Approx. 2.5" end to end and a little over 1 & 1/16" wide.
More importantly, the bottom drop is removable, which is super neat.
Weight: 9.45 grams.
Metal and hallmark: gold and silver. The gold was tested 18k or higher with a French hallmark on the bale.
Very fine antique condition with minor age wear. Stones have minor scratches and wear, which should be expected for the age. It was possibly a brooch originally as it has some traces in the back. Please refer to the images/videos for the general condition.
