14k Bespoke Custom Made Bezel Set 1.11 CT GIA D VS2 Old European Cut Diamond Pendant

14k bespoke bezel set 1.11 CT GIA D VS2 perfect old European cut diamond pendant. 100% handmade by my master jeweler🤩. This is the highest caliber and the most gorgeous diamond bezel set pendant that we have made.. The stone was originally a center stone of a late Deco platinum solitaire ring.

The center diamond is a perfect 1.11 ct, D color, and VS2 clarity. Importantly, it is certified by Gemological Institute of America (GIA): Report Number 6223724411, dated Nov. 15, 2022, stating Color: D, Clarity: VS2, Cut Grade: Good, Polish: Very Good, Symmetry: Fair, Fluorescence: Faint.

Although GIA calls it a round brilliant, the cutting style of the center stone is technically a transitional cut style (indicated by an open culet, blocky/flowery facets with a small table and frosted girdle), which is a diamond cutting style in between traditional old mine/old European cut and modern round brilliant. It was popular from about the 1920s through the 1940s.

As you may know, a lot of old cut diamonds on the market have lower colors and contain visible inclusions. Sadly, this is due to the fact that over time many of the high quality old cut diamonds have been re-cut to make modern round brilliant diamonds. Therefore, finding a high color and high clarity old cut diamond is close to impossible. In fact, high quality old cut stones like this one are currently priced at a value higher than their modern round brilliant counterparts!

In my years of experience in collecting and observation, the most beautiful and charming old cut diamonds come from the transitional cut category. It exhibits a gorgeous flowery pattern with wonderful light play in a lot of light environments. Quite frankly, it is absolutely charismatic!


The pendant has an extra large jump bale that can fit onto chains in a variety of thicknesses/sizes. More importantly, the bale has a flexible opening/locking design, which allows it to attach to any link of a chain or any charm pendant, which provides endless possibilities for your necklace layering.
