Antique 12K Solid Gold Curb Link Watch Chain Choker Necklace, Gift for Her

Made in the early 20th century, this gorgeous and substantial 12K solid gold watch chain used to be connected to a gentleman's pocket watch. It is constructed with ornate interlocking links yet, it is still heavy and solid.

Slight rose hue in real life. The chain has been well preserved with all the original components: it still has its original thumb clasp, swivel clip, and 1.5" extended T-bar chain drop.

The length of this antique solid gold chain was 14 & 5/8 inches. To add a little length and make it more wearable, I added an antique gold filled bolt clasp from the same era. With the added bolt clasp, the total length of the chain is now 15.5". The bolt clasp can be easily added on and taken off or used for a different chain.

Metal and Hallmark: The chain is marked 14K but tested as 12k. I believe the chain is intended to be made as 14K but the alloy mixing was not standard in the old days which happens to many antique jewelry.

Weight of solid gold chain (without the bolt clasp): approx. 38.8 grams.

Link Measurement: 5mm for the solid gold link width (all measures are approximate).

Condition: very good antique condition with age appropriate wear. The loop of the swivel shows a bit more wear, but it still has years of life left. The clasp is slightly stiff but functions well. All told. Please refer to all listing pictures for the general condition.
