Victorian Etruscan Revival 14K Gold Seed Pearl Oval Locket - Circa 1880s

This magnificent Victorian Etruscan Revival 14k seed pearl oval locket demonstrates the highly skilled antique metalwork in the Victoria Era.

The front features beautiful scrollwork detailing with a central seed pearl accent.
Designed with one compartment, with the original internal bezel and glass still intact.

Measurements: approx. 2&3/8" long (including bale), or 1&15/16" just the oval portion, by 1" wide.
Weight: ~20.11 grams.
Metal: 14k gold, unmarked (period correct) but tested. The bezel is made of a non-gold metal — a common practice at the time for added durability.

All parts are original, including the bale. The pearl bar has a slight movement but remains secure.The back shows minor nicks and small dents, expected for its age.  Good and secure closure. Overall, an extremely charming antique locket with timeless elegance and rich character ✨️
