Antique Victorian European 15K Solid Gold Emerald Rose Cut Diamond Seed Pearl Oval Photo Locket, Circa 1880

This gorgeous and precious antique 15K locket comes straight from my personal collection. European in origin, the front of the locket is adorned with two pear shaped lustrous faceted emeralds, 3 rose cut diamonds and nice seed pearls. I will let the images speak for themselves.

Opening from the side, the locket reveals two compartments for photos. It retains all its original components: two original bezel frames, glass covers, two old photos of a lovely couple underneath, and the original bale and jump ring at the top.

Gemstone specifics (all measurements are approximate):
Emeralds: 6.20mm x 4.02mm, 5.4mm x 3.6mm, combined carat weight is a little over 1 ctw by estimation.
Rose cut diamonds: 2.5mm-2.8mm by spread, or 0.10 ctw by estimation.
Seed pearls: 2.5mm -2.8mm.

Measurements: 1 & 7/8" from top to bottom (1.5" long without the bale and jump ring) and 1 & 3/16" in width.

Metal: unmarked like most Victorian jewelry. It tested 15K with an electronic tester and confirm with acid.

Locket weight: approx. 21.6 grams.

Circa 1880s.

Condition: very fine antique condition with minor wear. Two tiny chips near the edge of the smaller emerald. A tiny file mark inside the locket caused by gold testing in the past. It opens well and closes securely with a click. Please refer to the pictures for the overall condition.
